The British Science Association’s individual membership scheme is coming to a close at the end of 2017. As a result, we are no longer accepting new membership applications.

We re-introduced individual membership in 2015 as part of our new vision and strategy. Over the past three years, we have endeavoured to offer our members exclusive offers, events and access to the work that we do. Having reviewed the success of the scheme, and in preparation for our next three-year organisational plan, we believe that growing our supporter base in other ways will best enable us to increase the impact and reach of the organisation’s programmes and activities.

Therefore, we hope our supporters will take the opportunity to attend BSA events across the country – such as those run by our network of 37 branches – or national programmes including the British Science Festival held in Hull from 11-14 September 2018 and British Science Week (9-18 March 2018).  We also hope you will stay in touch with the organisation’s news and activities through our free monthly eNewsletter

We are funded through a mix of sponsorship, grants and donations. Therefore, if you decide to continue to support the organisation and its work through a financial contribution, we would be enormously grateful. Your support will help us move towards making our vision a reality. We have a JustGiving page where you can set up a regular donation or a one-off amount. A donation of any size will go a long way to support our work in the future. You can also download our Impact Report 2016 to see what we have accomplished with the help of our generous donors, members and supporters.
