Once students have completed a CREST Award, there are plenty of other education, public engagement and communication opportunities to explore:

  • Tell people about your Award – being able to communicate with others is a key skill for scientists and engineers. Once you’ve finished your project why not give a presentation in assembly, do a demonstration for younger students, present your results in an imaginative way, or organise a science fair in your school. Check out Young Scientists Journal, and think about submitting an article to tell others about what you did.

  • Provide a case study to inspire others - as part of telling people about your award, please fill in a case study form to help the British Science Association to help inspire more young people to take part in CREST
  • Exhibit your projects at The Big Bang Near Me regional fairs - present to local experts in science and engineering, increase your confidence and presentation skills

  • Enter the National Science + Engineering Competition - CREST students can enter the regional heats and may go on to qualify for finals which take place at The Big Bang Fair a significant, national event for youth science and engineering
